# Who We Are: The Story Behind MinuteMan IT

I've lived in Gresham for a long time. Long enough to watch neighborhoods change, families grow, and local businesses come and go — some thriving, some struggling under problems they didn't see coming. One of those problems? Technology that was supposed to make life easier ended up making it harder.
Twenty years ago I started helping people solve tech problems — not for a company, but just because I knew how and I wanted them to know how too. Over two decades of working with computers, networks, and everything in between, I noticed something clear: small businesses don't need overpriced enterprise solutions pushed at them by salespeople reading from scripts on some corporate phone tree.
**They need someone who cares.** Someone who actually knows the street they're on.
So MinuteMan IT was born out of a genuinely simple idea — that the small businesses around Gresham, Sandy, Troutdale, and the rest of our community could use more technology effectiveness without needing a tech degree to make it work for them. Most businesses already have access to widely available tools: cloud services, communication platforms, automated bookkeeping, cybersecurity basics. But just because tools are available doesn't mean they're used well — that's where I come in.

Right now I'm a one-man operation.
